Great Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce (GHWCC): $10,000
The GHWCC is dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of women and girls through avenues of leadership, education, advocacy, and mentoring.
One of the three programs the grant supported was STEAM Town USA (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math) which is an after-school program that seeks to increase exposure of third-grade girls to STEAM concepts, improve grades and graduation rates, and encourage girls to pursue STEAM.
